This year our headliners will include Okaidja and his band Shˇkoto who are known to create a wonderful fusion of traditional African music and dance and contemporary music from the African Diaspora, and concert saxophonist Ashu. Ashu, is a remarkable  26-year-old saxophone virtuoso who is already known worldwide; he is in perpetual motion on stage and has an ability to captivate general as well as classical audiences.

formatted to HTML can be found here (click on that!)
Details the artists specialties.

It begins on
Thursday - June 19th.

Visitors and performers (that are able due to their schedules) board the
Alaska Marine Highway Ferry Tustemena at noon in Homer.
As they sail towards Seldovia, there is a musical jam session.

Arrival in Seldovia - 1:15 pm or so.

Volunteers and performers meet for a no host dinner at the Lynnwood Bar and Grill - 6:00 PM historically. This year, 5 P.M.
Grill opens earlier, now. So, we have 3 hours to dine and socialize prior to the Open Mic' Show instead of the olde hour and
a half.

Open Mic at Susan B. English School Commons - historically 7:30 PM. This year, 8:00 PM, less time crunch.
This is a fairly new event and is gaining popularity!
Headliners and performers not required by contract to attend...but we sure appreciate the support!
This evening features non-festival performers.
